Most people assume that being a great retreat chef is about cooking well. And yes — that matters. But after working retreats firsthand, I can tell you the cooking is maybe half the job.

The other half is organisation, client communication, knowing your numbers, taking care of your body, and being resourceful enough to handle whatever comes up. None of that happens at the stove.
